Mares Pure Instinct Razor Pro Fin features construction from a high-quality elastomer material, designed for both power and comfort achieved through Mares collaboration with a leading Italian podiatry clinic in the design for the fin. Prevention of slippage is achieved by including side rails to channel water flow, as well as side ribs (stringers) running through the foot pocket which prevents lateral slippage. The V-tip design is also included to prevent slipping from slide-to-side when kicking. This allows power to be translated from the leg to the fin, with minimal loss of energy so that maximum efficiency is achieved, channelling water from the base of the blade down to the V-tip.
The variable thickness blade bends during the kicking phases of fining action to achieve an ideal level of flexing. This is because of the proportional thickness throughout the blade and the use of techno-polymer material which provide agility and elasticity.
